On page 13 of her book, "Tatting", Norma Benporath offered a set of four designs. These were intended for bridge mats or tablecloths. The symbols are the heart, diamond, spade and club.

On page 13 of her book, "Tatting", Norma Benporath offered a set of four designs. These were intended for bridge mats or tablecloths. The symbols are the heart, diamond, spade and club. Sue Duckles offers a one pass revision of the diamond pattern.

Clara Haase pats #2 #4
These are two more designs are by Clara Haase. Her name appears more than once in Needlecraft Magazine.

Tatting Plus Teneriffe
Tatting has been combined with teneriffe lace. Teneriffe is a needle lace method in which a web of threads is worked out across a foundation which may be a piece of heavy cloth, a pin cushion or a specially designed form like a wheel or square

Lucy's Rose Doily by Mrs Consistre
Mrs. Louise "Lucy" Consistre, who tatted the famous "Last Supper" tapestry also tatted this rose doily in the same technique of blocks of four ring. It is not known if this is her original pattern.
